ESUS is embarking on a big project, which requires huge financial capital to set up and operate. The decision was made based on the fact that there is no Maternity and Pediatrics care center in Enugu state today where such services are affordable for the less privileged.
Due to high cost of proper health care, the less privileged often find themselves in the hands of fake and untrained Midwives, and consequently endanger their lives and that of their children.

ESUS

Enugu State Union of Switzerland (ESUS) was born out of the desire of the indigenes of this famous and historical Eastern Nigerian state living in Switzerland to come together for the common goal of assisting her people back home, with the infrastructural development of their beloved state.  Hence, the motto: DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PEOPLE.

The union is a non-governmental association whose bona fide agenda is to contribute her quota in alleviating - what might seem an onerous task of helping the plight of the less privileged in her home state - through executing developmental projects either on its own or in conjunction with private organisations and (or) the government of Enugu State.

Switzerland is renowned as having one of the best modern, socio-economic structures in the world, which makes it not just a good place to live but also to acquire invaluable knowledge. The union members who are opportune to be living here see it as their duty to take home what knowledge they have acquired here as a way of bringing growth to the Coal-City State of Nigeria.

It is worthy of mention that the recent rapid infrastructural developments seen in most parts of Enugu State - which has become characteristic of the present state government -  is a motivating factor to the Union. They believe that they have indeed entered an era of true governance and sustained change.

Members and their families are indigenes of Enugu State resident in Switzerland. The union is officially registered with and recognized by the Nigerian Embassy in Switzerland.

Long Live Enugu State, Long Live Nigeria!
